I saw ‘Mamma Mia’ last month. As a big fan of musicals I really enjoyed this film. Maybe the plot isn’t interesting but fortunately it isn’t another boring story about love. A young woman, Sophie Sheridan (Amanda Seyfried) about to be married discovers that any one of three men could be her father. She invites all three to the wedding without telling her mother, Donna(Meryl Streep). But not all goes according to plan: old loves are re-kindled, new loves are formed, and Sophie risks everything to discover the true identity of her father. The cast is really great as well as the soundtrack. Actually the songs are the biggest advantage of this movie. When I was a kid I was a huge ABBA’s fan so I still like their songs. Now old but still good 1970s hits return with new arrangement and many of them have been changed, with some words changed to better fit the plot. The biggest surprise for me Pierce Brosnan, famous Agent 007 singing love songs. It was really funny ( ;
I have recently watched "Mamma Mia!", and I must say I was impressed.
The film tells the story of 20-yaer-old Sophie Sheridan (Amanda Seyfried)who is planning to marry her fiance Sky and wants her father to be present to "give her away". However, there is a little problem... There are three her potential fathers... Which one is her biological? She does not know it but she is going to know it and due to it invites all of them. As you can guess, it is the main source of many funny and unexpected situations in the film.
"Mamma Mia!" is one of the best films I have ever seen. It is the great film for people who like a good laugh because there is a humor in just about every scene. One of my favourite scene is that one in which Sophie and her fionce are about to kiss and at that very moment a group of Sky's friends interrupts them and take him for his stag night. Meanwhile, some of them are dancing in a very funny way on a pier. During this scene we can hear the song "Lay All Your Love On Me" which is singing by Sophie, Sky and Sky's friends (it makes amazing effect, is not it?). The next thing what I liked about the film were Abba's songs which are the biggest advantage of "Mamma Mia!".
I think that it will be not waste of time if you see "Mamma Mia!". Personally, I like this film very much because it makes that every time I watch it I want to sing and have great humor;)
Because we have only 5 votes on five different films we must make playoff and you must choose best film in your opinion of five films which has most votes
